WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Entry Level Product Inspectors will learn to run machines, visually and dimensionally inspect product, package product and problem solve. Each level of Product Inspector requires a higher level of understanding of these skills
ACCOUNTABILITIES IN THE ROLE:
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures. All Quality Systems procedures and work instructions are consistently followed.
- Visual Inspection of parts
- Operate Presses in semi-operation mode
- Ensure machines are cycling properly at the lowest possible cycle time.
- Ensure materials needed at the press are stocked (Raw material, boxes, inserts, etc.), especially at shift change, without overstocking.
- Clean up of work areas
- Ensure that support personnel are notified of problems/questions
- Communicate all problems to on-coming personnel
- Maintain job documentation
- Dimensional checking of parts
- Ensure proper inventory of parts (perform shift counts, minimize overruns)
- Quick response to Machine Alarms/Repair
- Assist other shift personnel as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Clear Penmanship
- Good vision to spot defects
- Good Hand to Eye Coordination/Dexterity
- The training process is challenging and requires the ability to learn new skills
- Able to use Microsoft products (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel). Able to effectively use company ERP system (IQMS) in areas that pertain to your responsibilities.

CORE HOURS:
- Ironwood Plastics offers three shifts, one to suit anyone’s needs! All shifts run Monday – Friday
- Day Shift – 6:45 am to 3:15 pm
- Afternoon Shift 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm ($1.50/hr shift premium offered)
- Night Shift 10:45 pm to 7:15 am ($2.00/hr shift premium offered)
TYPICAL WORK WEEK:
All shifts run Monday through Friday. You receive a 30 minute unpaid lunch and a 10 minute paid break.

What You Will Accomplish:
As the New Product Introduction Quality Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, and implement the inspection and submission of custom injection molded products to our customers, from kickoff through production approval to ensure internal/external customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do:
• Program advanced measuring equipment to generate First Article Inspection information.
• Perform First Article Inspection utilizing standard quality measuring equipment.
• Implement and oversee the APQP process, including PFMEAs, detailed inspection & control plans, and final submission.
• Advocate and lead the execution of quality activities throughout the process development, verification, validation, design transfer, and release phases – ensuring compliance to regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with other quality functions and report product risks through stage gates.
• Provide technical advice to other team members to resolve quality related issues or problems.
Position Requirements:
• Education: Associates Degree in Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; Will consider combination of education/experience
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in quality-related field; Automotive industry preferred; Plastic Injec-tion Molding experience a plus
• Certification(s): n/a
• Functional Skills: Experience with Mechanical Measurement techniques; exceptionally detailed, analyti-cal, and thorough; Strong mathematic, algebra, and statistical skills; Solid understanding of PFMEAs and APQP; Strong problem-solving experience. Measurement equipment (CMM, Smartscope) programming experience a plus but will train the right person.
• Technology Aptitude/Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office experience; ERP experience highly preferred
• Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership/Behaviors: Strong collaboration and influencing skills; Excellent work ethic; Someone who leads by example; Someone who takes initiative, is comfortable working independently, and is forward thinking.

Other Important Information:
Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.
Reports To: Quality Manager
Core Hours: 7:00am – 4:30pm (schedule can be flexible; will work around 9 hours within this timeframe)
Typical Work Week: M-F; some weekends required; 45 hours a week on average

Work Conditions: Primarily an office environment with regular visits to Manufacturing environments.
Travel: Ability to travel to the Two Rivers, WI facility to support new launch activities as required (estimated visits 1-2 per quarter but depends on assigned projects). Also, will travel to customers and selected vendors to sup-port quality related activities, once or twice yearly.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The basic function of this position is to ensure smooth operations through management of Preventative Mainte-nance programs, repair activities, industrial engineering, and building maintenance. May supervise and coordi-nate activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, also fabricating metal and plastic parts to be used in production cells.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:
- Lead by example and perform in a manner that ensures high morale and high performance. Inspire other employees to support company vision, mission, strategies (main things), goals and guiding principles.
- Communicate effectively to all departments.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed to support customer requirements.
- Daily tasks will include electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and auxillary equipment.
- Create capitol request documents, work orders, requisitions, documents and inventory of spare parts.
- Works with production scheduling to determine equipment PM and repair priorities
- Interprets and enforces safety regulations. Accompanies OSHA/MiOSHA inspector visits.
- Representative for Environmental standards and records.
- Evaluates work orders in ERP system to assist in prioritizing team members work assignments based on yours and team member’s ability. Also, responsible to evaluate work orders daily, to ensure timely closure of com-pleted work orders and review of any work orders that remain open.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Establishes and monitors Preventative Maintenance Program
- Maintains appropriate maintenance records, including Lock out Tag Out training and lock.
- Maintains paperwork on hazardous materials (oil disposal)
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comple-te proficiency for Industrial Maintenance Tech levels 1-3
- Able to use Microsoft products (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel) . Able to effectively use company ERP sys-tem (IQMS) in areas that pertain to your responsibilities.
