WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Entry Level Product Inspectors will learn to run machines, visually and dimensionally inspect product, package product and problem solve.  Each level of Product Inspector requires a higher level of understanding of these skills

ACCOUNTABILITIES IN THE ROLE:

  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.  All Quality Systems procedures and work instructions are consistently followed.
  • Visual Inspection of parts
  • Operate Presses in semi-operation mode
  • Ensure machines are cycling properly at the lowest possible cycle time.
  • Ensure materials needed at the press are stocked (Raw material, boxes, inserts, etc.), especially at shift change, without overstocking.
  • Clean up of work areas
  • Ensure that support personnel are notified of problems/questions
  • Communicate all problems to on-coming personnel
  • Maintain job documentation
  • Dimensional checking of parts
  • Ensure proper inventory of parts (perform shift counts, minimize overruns)
  • Quick response to Machine Alarms/Repair
  • Assist other shift personnel as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Clear Penmanship
  • Good vision to spot defects
  • Good Hand to Eye Coordination/Dexterity
  • The training process is challenging and requires the ability to learn new skills
  • Able to use Microsoft products (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel).  Able to effectively use company ERP system (IQMS) in areas that pertain to your responsibilities.

CORE HOURS:

  • Ironwood Plastics offers three shifts, one to suit anyone’s needs!  All shifts run Monday – Friday
  • Day Shift – 6:45 am to 3:15 pm
  • Afternoon Shift 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm ($1.50/hr shift premium offered)
  • Night Shift 10:45 pm to 7:15 am ($2.00/hr shift premium offered)

TYPICAL WORK WEEK:

All shifts run Monday through Friday.  You receive a 30 minute unpaid lunch and a 10 minute paid break.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Quality Support Technician provides support as required to all areas of Production, and Project Management including production documentation and pre-production activities. The Quality Support Technician also participates in basic quality lab work, Quality System documentation, and Quality record keeping.

ACCOUNTABILITIES IN THE ROLE:

  • Lead by example and perform in a manner that ensures high morale and high performance.  Inspire other employees to support company vision, mission, strategies (main things), goals and guiding principles.
  • Communicates effectively to all departments.
  • Ensure 5S goals for all areas are maintained
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.  All Quality Systems procedures and work instructions are consistently followed.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed to support customer requirements.
  • Ensures all QS procedures and work instructions are followed
  • Maintain gage calibration system including the ordering of new gages, calibration of gages at appropriate intervals, scheduling of outside calibration sources, troubleshoot technical problems, overseeing gage rework & repair, and the performance of gage studies on new gages.
  • Create C of C’s when required
  • Work with NPI Teams in the development of control plans, labels and other pre-production requirements, as required.
  • Aid in the maintenance of inspection system documents including QIP’s, in-process job books, and work instructions. Provide photos, master parts and Temporary Work Instructions as required.
  • Participate in the control of Quality System documents including procedures, forms, external documents, prints, work instructions, and other documents, as assigned.
  • Develop, Maintain, Archive, and dispose of records as required by Ironwood Plastics Quality System.
  • Support production runs as requested.
  • Internal audits to ensure compliance (ISO, job book, TWI)
  • Participate and lead Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement Teams, as requested.
  • Provide direct support for other team members as required.
  • Provide direct and indirect training for new hire Product Inspectors in quality concepts, gauging, production documents (Basic Training Module), and QS policy, procedures and systems.
  • Coordinate job transfers between facilities (QA focus) as required
  • Any other duties that may be necessary to accomplish the goals of this position or goals of the company

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to use Microsoft products (MSWord, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.  Able to effectively use company ERP system (IQMS) in areas that pertain to your responsibilities. 
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Quality and blueprint reading.
  • Exceptional communication skills to internal and external customers.

Hours are day shift but can be flexible.

What You Will Accomplish:

As the New Product Introduction Quality Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, and implement the inspection and submission of custom injection molded products to our customers, from kickoff through production approval to ensure internal/external customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do:

• Program advanced measuring equipment to generate First Article Inspection information.
• Perform First Article Inspection utilizing standard quality measuring equipment.
• Implement and oversee the APQP process, including PFMEAs, detailed inspection & control plans, and final submission.
• Advocate and lead the execution of quality activities throughout the process development, verification, validation, design transfer, and release phases – ensuring compliance to regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with other quality functions and report product risks through stage gates.
• Provide technical advice to other team members to resolve quality related issues or problems.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Associates Degree in Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; Will consider combination of education/experience
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in quality-related field; Automotive industry preferred; Plastic Injec-tion Molding experience a plus
• Certification(s): n/a
• Functional Skills: Experience with Mechanical Measurement techniques; exceptionally detailed, analyti-cal, and thorough; Strong mathematic, algebra, and statistical skills; Solid understanding of PFMEAs and APQP; Strong problem-solving experience. Measurement equipment (CMM, Smartscope) programming experience a plus but will train the right person.
• Technology Aptitude/Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office experience; ERP experience highly preferred
• Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership/Behaviors: Strong collaboration and influencing skills; Excellent work ethic; Someone who leads by example; Someone who takes initiative, is comfortable working independently, and is forward thinking.

Other Important Information:

Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.

Reports To: Quality Manager

Core Hours: 7:00am – 4:30pm (schedule can be flexible; will work around 9 hours within this timeframe)

Typical Work Week: M-F; some weekends required; 45 hours a week on average

Work Conditions: Primarily an office environment with regular visits to Manufacturing environments.

Travel: Ability to travel to the Two Rivers, WI facility to support new launch activities as required (estimated visits 1-2 per quarter but depends on assigned projects). Also, will travel to customers and selected vendors to sup-port quality related activities, once or twice yearly.

What You Will Accomplish:

The Accounting Specialist is a professional role in the accounting department where team members work under general supervision to solve routine, and some complex problems related to financial recording and reporting. Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

What You Will Do:

• Perform intermediate level of general accounting functions
• Conduct regular ledger and balance sheet reconciliation
• Assist with month-end close procedures
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into accounts
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Contribute to continual improvement with company policies and procedures
• Participate in Audit process, providing necessary information and answering auditor queries.
• Must be able to complete Month End responsibilities per the Finance schedule
• Manage Capital Expense documentation
• Set up invoices for payment and process accounts payable checks and electronic fund transfers
• Vendor file maintenance in ERP system (IQMS)
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquires within a timely manner
• Monitors inventory movement and alerts in IQMS
• Assist in month end closing and Journal Entries
• Monthly tracking of various worksheets for Month End
• Post AP Invoices and monitors GL accounts
• Adjust Pricing for PISCS (purchase item standard costs)
• Assists with CTB Planning Process
• Assist the Accountant and Controller with Month End Review

Position Requirements:

• Associate degree in accounting or 3 -5 years of accounting and office experience.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to understand Network drives, file directories, and file name conventions
• Able to use Microsoft products (MSWord, Power Point, Excel) Able to effectively use company ERP sys-tem (IQMS) in areas that pertain to your responsibilities
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attentive to detail with robust organizational abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
