Web Cam Gaining Customer Kudos
“When you locate your plant in the
boonies, you need to do a few extra things to get closer”,
states Mark Stephens, Vice President. “Our conference room is
now live anywhere in the world with zoom and panning
capabilities.”
One
customer uses the webcam daily in conjunction with a normal
conference phone for meetings. They just open up a site on
their computer and they are looking at our conference room
live- and all for free! We also have spots on the conference
table that we have pre-programmed as “zoom points” and a
customer can quickly zoom in on a part or take a picture for
further discussion.
Garry Fox, Purchasing Manager at Stant,
Inc. in
Connersville,
Indiana,
was the driving force behind the
new addition. We previously had a low-end camera that only
viewed one shot of the conference room. Garry kidded us one day
saying “That’s nice Ironwood, but I want to be able to pan the
room and zoom in on a particular part. And, I want to be able
to control the camera!” Two weeks later, our MIS guy, Greg
Miljevich had located a camera and had it all
installed.
You may access the camera by visiting the
following site: http://208.33.228.9 . You may
need to download a small file, which will prompt
you if you need it. We encourage our customers
to contact Matt Bishop at matt.bishop@ironwood.com
for a user name and password to get tapped into
our conference room- even if all you want to do is watch the
fish swimming in the tank!

Dena Lundin
Promoted to Team Leader

Dena Lundin's
role at IWP has been expanded to Team Leader of the Customer
Planning Resource (CPR) team. Dena’s responsibility in
customer service will remain, but she now heads up a group of
seven individuals in scheduling, purchasing, shipping,
receiving and customer service. That group is moving to the
front office and will consolidate our efforts to improve
customer service and inventory accuracy.
Dena has been with
IWP for nine years in a customer service role and is excited
to begin consolidating efforts with her new team. She has
two children Kacie (6) and Tommy (4). Her husband, Dave, owns
a local retail store and is the assistant varsity football
coach in Hurley, Wisconsin.
