Ironwood Plastics started with a vast background in Molds and Mold Design and that tradition continues today. Both plants have full toolroom capabilities to take on the most difficult projects. All though most production tools are now constructed at outside shops in the U.S. and Asia, our engineering staff is part of the entire design and build phase. The reason for this is simple: Production tooling is guaranteed for life...the customer will never pay maintenance for tooling ordered from Ironwood Plastics.

Generous cost savings (in the 30-40% range) can be achieved using off-shore tooling. IWP has made the commitment to find the very best sources in Asia. Management and Tooling Engineers have visited those sources three times...in 2004, 2006 and again in 2010. Approximately five sources have been qualified. For those customers that want the savings, IWP offers the same guarantee for off shore tooling: Production tooling is guaranteed for life...the customer will never pay maintenance for tooling ordered from Ironwood Plastics.
